OPLICO project

Open and Tolerant Community: Challenges and Opportunities in Adult Education

The OPLICO project – Open and Liberal Community: Challenges and Opportunities for Adult Education – was a strategic Erasmus+ partnership that brought together organizations from Portugal, Germany, France, Norway, and Lithuania between 2017 and 2019. Based on experiences from each country, the project aimed to promote more open, inclusive, and tolerant local communities through educational practices focused on the integration of people at social risk, migrants, and refugees.

Over the course of two years, educational and research activities focused on adult education were developed, highlighting the role of communities and professionals working on the front lines of social integration. Through transnational meetings, institutional visits, and practical activities, project partners shared good practices and inclusion methods that resulted in a replicable European model.

Contempla Trilhos actively participated as the Portuguese partner, bringing its expertise in training, social and artistic development, contributing to the creation of a European manual, a training program for community leaders, and various integration initiatives based on culture and non-formal education.
