Mano project
Civic education, participation and inclusion for migrants in Europe
The MaNO project – A Master of New Opportunities for Migrants – was born out of the urgent need to support, train, and integrate migrants, refugees, and displaced persons in Europe, with particular attention to Ukrainian citizens who have arrived in recent years. Based on a participatory approach, the project focuses on adult education as a tool for civic and social empowerment, promoting access to information, rights, and active participation in local communities.
Coordinated by Contempla Trilhos and in partnership with institutions from Italy and Turkey, the MaNO project runs from 2024 to 2026 and focuses on the development of a European educational model, with accessible and adaptable resources, aimed at the cultural and democratic integration of migrants. Through active methodologies adapted to diversity, the project promotes essential skills such as intercultural communication, language learning, knowledge of EU values, and civic engagement.
